Job Purpose

The Compliance Training & Contracts Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that EnerSys remains compliant with all training-related regulatory requirements while also delivering a streamlined, engaging, and user-centered learning experience. This role serves as both a trusted consultant and an operational leader — managing diverse stakeholders, navigating complex opinions, and balancing competing priorities with clarity and focus.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled consultant and collaborator who can influence without authority, build consensus across business functions, and consistently anchor decision-making around two core objectives: maintaining compliance and enhancing the learner experience.

In addition to managing and maintaining compliance training, this role will oversee all contracts, vendors, and partnerships supporting the Global Talent Development team. This includes ensuring cost-effective, policy-compliant solutions that meet business needs and support scalable governance. The specialist will also lead efforts related to SOPs, audit readiness, and internal controls.

Preference to East Coast work hours to allow close collaboration and meetings with EMEA & APAC global team members

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the successful delivery of compliance training for new hires and annual employee training.
• Lead and manage a Compliance Committee to maintain up-to-date, accurate compliance training materials.
• Proactively identify compliance risks and consult with internal partners to address gaps.
• Ensure compliance training content aligns with industry regulations, corporate policies, and legal requirements.
• Manage conflicting priorities across stakeholders, guiding discussions back to the dual goals of compliance and learner experience.
• Actively gather and apply feedback to evolve the training experience for both new hires and current employees.
• Manage all contracts, vendors, and partnerships supporting the Learning & Talent team, ensuring operational efficiency and strong ROI.
• Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and vendor performance to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
• Partner with procurement and legal teams to ensure compliance in vendor selection and contract management.
• Evaluate third-party training providers, tools, and systems to align with business needs.
• Monitor training launches for a variety of audience groups in LMS (LiNK, SAP Success Factors).
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compliance training, vendors, and overall governance.
• Ensure regulatory and legal compliance in all learning-related contracts and vendor agreements.
• Lead efforts to respond to internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and reporting meet all required standards.
• Lead audit preparation and response efforts, ensuring that documentation and processes meet all internal and external standards.
• Track key metrics around compliance training completion, audit readiness, compliance training completion rates, training effectiveness, and vendor performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification in Compliance (e.g., CCEP, CRCM), Learning & Development, or related field preferred.
• Background in legal, audit, procurement, or risk management and/or background in manufacturing or other highly regulated environment is a plus.
• Proven ability to consult, influence, and align diverse stakeholders around common goals.
• Demonstrated strength in balancing regulatory compliance with user-centered learning design.
• Deep understanding of contract negotiation, procurement processes, and vendor governance.
• Experience with LMS platforms, third-party learning providers, and compliance content.
• Excellent communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
