Position overview

Taking care of our environment has never been more important than it is today.  The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is looking for a Digital Lead Generation Manager to join a team committed to protecting our most important natural areas and the plants and animals they sustain.

As part of the National Marketing and Development team, the Digital Lead Generation Manager is responsible for driving awareness, engagement, and lead generation through strategic brand campaigns and marketing initiatives. This role plays a key part in expanding our reach, building affinity for our mission, and attracting new audiences to our cause.

As a strategic marketer with a passion for growth, they lead the planning and execution of NCC’s top of funnel integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channels—bringing together creativity, data, and audience insights to increase visibility, grow our community of prospective donors and nurture early-stage relationships.

Responsibilities

Campaign strategy and execution 

  • Develop and execute all top-of-funnel awareness and lead generation campaigns and programs. 
  • Collaborate with channel experts, to align campaign strategies, develop assets and ensure data capture and integration. 
  • Set awareness and lead generation goals and develop strategies that support NCC's community growth objectives, optimizing KPIs that will achieve the organization’s strategic plan. 
  • Consult with regional fundraising and communications teams on regional community growth initiatives, offering best practices and guidance.
  • Build and oversee strategic relationships with agencies, vendors, contractors and partners involved in development and execution of community growth activities.
  • Prepare and reconcile budgets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and ensure budgets and timelines are met.

User experience and digital ecosystem

  • Own and proactively manage supporter journeys, including proactive monitoring and strengthening of UI/UX of digital assets, web touchpoints, automations, etc. making recommendations to improve community growth results. 
  • Be responsible for all awareness and lead generation assets and touchpoints, including key pages on NCC’s website and microsites, functioning as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders and ensuring they are smoothly integrated and functioning well together to achieve community growth targets.

Reporting and analytics 

  • Assess the performance of all community growth strategies and tactics, advising as to the approaches that are delivering results in line with the organization’s strategic goals. 
  • Use data and audience insights to identify growth opportunities, inform targeting strategies and continuously refine campaigns for maximum impact.
  • Research and ensure team stays up-to-date on latest growth marketing innovations and make recommendations to ensure NCC is effectively utilizing all available technologies, channels, strategies and tactics that are appropriate. When new opportunities are identified, lead the training of relevant NCC staff and stakeholders.

Position Requirements 

  • University degree or equivalent in marketing or fundraising
  • 5-7 years of digital marketing and/or fundraising experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a cross-functional environment, leading content development, campaign execution and analysis
  • Excellent strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills, with ability to make recommendations based on insights
  • Strong technical skills with proven ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues. 
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing and lead generation, includes creative development, owned, earned and paid media, data management, integration, form and web development best practices. 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with ability to effectively manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment with numerous projects
  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and diplomacy skills required to promote working partnerships among internal and external stakeholders 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum 1 year experience managing team members preferred
  • Bilingual French/English and general fundraising knowledge preferred
