None/Not RequiredWe are seeking a strategic and execution-focused AI Operations Manager to drive the operational excellence of our AI initiatives. This role is responsible for measuring and accelerating AI adoption, managing organizational change related to AI programs, creating AI governance frameworks, and leading AI metrics.
The ideal candidate is a cross-functional leader who understands AI technologies and their enterprise applications, and who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, people, and process.
This is a high-impact role with visibility across senior leadership, offering a chance to shape how AI transforms our business. You will help establish the blueprint for this new role within Collins Aerospace.
** This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote. **
What YOU will do:
AI Adoption & Enablement
Drive and measure internal adoption of AI services, products, tools and processes.
Work closely with business unit leads to identify areas for AI enablement and to ensure AI tools meet user needs.
Partner with communications and media teams to promote AI literacy.
AI Governance & Compliance
Support the implementation of responsible AI practices.
In partnership with AI Product Manager, maintain and communicate an AI inventory ensuring auditability.
Collaborate with legal, risk, and cybersecurity teams to ensure AI systems meet policy requirements.
AI Change Management
Lead organizational change initiatives related to AI adoption and implementation, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder buy-in.
Develop and execute communication plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, and training campaigns.
Monitor and mitigate resistance to change, providing coaching to teams and leaders as needed.
AI Metrics & Performance Monitoring
Define, track, and report on KPIs that measure the impact, efficiency, and ROI of AI solutions.
Develop dashboards and reports to monitor performance, adoption, accuracy, fairness, and risk across AI use cases.
Partner with internal customers and technology teams to identify and prioritize measurable outcomes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Certification or training in machine learning, artificial intelligence or data science
Change management or presentations certification or training
Excellent written/verbal communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
Qualifications We Prefer:
Master’s degree or higher education degree in machine learning, artificial intelligence or data science
Aerospace and Defense industry experience
Previous technology systems experience
Previous system adoption leadership experience
Previous metrics management experience
Previous Responsible AI management experience
Previous AI strategy or roadmapping experience
Role is Remote, but preferred location is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa near the Collins Aerospace AI Lab.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
