Your day at NTT DATA

The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing a managed service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving cloud-based incident and problems.

Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role maintains a high level of service to clients.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions and is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems.

This position uses considerable judgment and independent analysis within defined policies and practices and applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.

The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L3) may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

What you'll be doing

Primary Skills:

Key Responsibilities 

• Help to automate systems for massive and scalable operations and to design and code the required tools to do so. We manage tens of thousands of services with a reduced but expert team. Sure you can help us to scale even more through automation! Ansible & Salt

• Learn in deep by solving real problems and operating systems, networking, cloud environments, web servers, relational and NoSQL database servers in Linux and Windows environments, both physical and cloud based.

• Learn to design & operate systems architectures for business-critical systems platforms on AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.
• Work with bleeding-edge Cloud technologies, mastering container technology (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Manage critical systems for our customers.
• Build complex systems for mission-critical projects, from architecture design to migration planning and continuous operation and improvement.
• Analyze and improve systems’ performance & scalability and automate systems management.
• Interact with customers, understanding their needs, and find and design the best technological solution.
• Respond to incidents, diagnose their root cause, and fix the underlying problems, designing improvements to avoid the problems to be repeated

Skills:
 

• Knowing how to properly express yourself both in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work as a team
• Be willing to learn a lot and quickly
• Knowledge in in sysadmin of Linux and/or Windows. Knowledge of the internals of these operating systems is a plus.
• Knowledge about AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure components, services & architectures is a plus.
• Knowledge with systems automation tools and systems & services monitoring tools.

• Some knowledge programming. Python, Go, Perl, Shell Script and/or PowerShell are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Information Security & IT Service Management is also a plus.

Language Skills:
• Written and spoken English (fluent / native)
• Written and spoken Spanish (fluent / native)

Certification if required:

  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer
  • Terraform Associate
  • CKA (Kubernetes)
  • Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
