Job description

MCD Partners, a member of M+C Saatchi, is a senior-level digital agency specializing in delivering strategic, scalable, and customer-first solutions for leading brands across industries. We partner with clients to deliver results across design, UX, development, marketing, and technical infrastructure. 

As we grow our CRM and customer engagement practice, we are seeking a highly experienced HubSpot Technical Implementation Specialist to support a variety of client implementations with a systems-thinking approach to architecture and scalability. We're looking for a HubSpot subject matter expert with a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in technical implementations, with an emphasis on building robust CRM architectures that touch every part of the customer lifecycle—from marketing to sales to service.

You will lead and implement the technical aspects of HubSpot solutions, integrating with external platforms, advising on data models, designing workflows, and customizing the platform to meet the business and functional requirements of our clients.

The ideal candidate has the ability to learn about new industries, business practices, and technologies. This should ideally be based on your marketing technology experience. This experience should also ideally include on-premises as well as cloud- based applications.

What You'll Do: 

  • Lead technical implementation and configuration of HubSpot across multiple client accounts, ensuring long-term scalability and alignment with client business objectives.
  • Architect the full customer lifecycle using HubSpot tools including Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, and Operations Hub.
  • Design data models, lead scoring frameworks, and lifecycle stages that connect sales, marketing, and service data for a unified customer view.
  • Create and implement automation workflows, email sequences, lead capture mechanisms, and integrations with third-party tools or internal systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional client and internal teams (UX, strategy, dev, data) to define and document requirements, user journeys, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure best practices for data hygiene, GDPR/CCPA compliance, and performance optimization.
  • Develop custom-coded solutions, HubL templates, and serverless functions when needed (using HubSpot CMS or external APIs).
  • Support HubSpot migrations from other CRMs or marketing platforms with data mapping, import/export, and validation
  • Create documentation, training resources, and technical hand-offs for ongoing operations or marketing teams.
  • Bonus: If familiar with the Braze customer engagement platform, assist in projects requiring segmentation, personalization, and multi-channel customer engagement setup.
  • Explore new integrations, technology partners, and creative platform uses to help achieve joint marketing and sales process improvement and customer experience goals

What You'll Bring: 

  • 3-5 years of hands-on HubSpot experience, with proven success across multiple complex implementations.
  • Strong understanding of HubSpot’s APIs, workflows, custom objects, and integration best practices.
  • Experience architecting end-to-end CRM solutions across multiple business units or client teams.
  • Proficiency in technical scoping, data modeling, and platform integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Segment, custom REST APIs).
  • Experience working in agency or consultancy environments, managing multiple client projects and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation, email personalization, attribution, and customer journey mapping.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and HubL templating language.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Strong documentation habits and ability to present ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in the following platforms is a plus
  • ESP experience with platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Marketo or similar
  • CDP and or Braze customer engagement platform
  • Google and Adobe Analytics
  • Tag Managers
  • Google Cloud Platform

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Braze or similar customer engagement platforms.
  • Experience working with customer data platforms (CDPs) like Segment or RudderStack.
  • Familiarity with other marketing platforms like Salesforce Cloud, Marketo, Pardot, or Klaviyo.

  • Competitive hourly or fixed-rate contract based on experience in the range of       $70-$100/hour
  • Flexible working hours with core overlap with U.S. business hours.
  • Remote work environment with async collaboration tools (Slack, Notion, GitHub, etc.)
  • This is a full time or part time opportunity (initial 3-6 month contract with potential for extension or ongoing future project-based work depending on performance.
