Job Summary
This position develops and executes software test plans in order to identify problems and their causes. This position is responsible for testing, as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems, and applies process improvement methods by effectively organizing and utilizing organizational assets and the application of best practices.
Essential Responsibilities
§ Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
§ Document software defects, using a defect tracking system, and report defects to developers.
§ Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, or content.
§ Develop testing scripts that address areas such as database impacts, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
§ Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
§ Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
§ Monitor defect resolution efforts and track successes.
§ Provide feedback and recommendations to developers.
§ Update test scripts to ensure currency.
§ Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.
§ Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
§ Investigate customer problems.
§ Coordinate user or third-party testing.
§ Report out on QA activities.

Experience and/or Education
Required
§ Minimum 3 years’ experience as Software Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, Quality Analyst, SDET or similar role. Experience should include 2 or more of the following:
§ Experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies and other
§ Experience with coding
§ Experience with web security technology
§ Experience with software QA tools and processes
§ Experience working on an Agile team
Preferred
§ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Management
§ Experience as a Software Quality Engineer in Healthcare
