How you contribute

As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Emesent, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence in the AEC sector in Europe, through Direct and Partner Sales.

You will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with AEC companies in Europe. Your primary focus will be on understanding their needs, developing strategic sales plans, and executing these plans to achieve and exceed sales targets. This role requires a deep understanding of the technology industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales and account management in the AEC sector within Europe.

Here's what we need
  • Key AEC Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new AEC customers. Understand their business objectives, challenges, and pain points to identify opportunities for our products and services.

  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with the sales leadership team to create comprehensive sales strategies and plans for targeting and acquiring new enterprise customers. Leverage market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform decision-making.

  • New Business Development: Identify and engage prospective AEC customers. Present compelling solutions and value propositions that address their specific business needs. At times you may be required to support our existing partner network with Lead generation and demo support.

  • Sales Execution: Lead the sales process from prospecting to deal closure. Conduct product demonstrations, negotiate contracts, and navigate complex sales cycles.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on sales strategies and provide customer feedback to drive continuous product improvements.

  • Forecasting and Reporting: Track sales performance metrics, pipeline, and revenue forecasts. Generate regular reports for sales leadership to review and make data-driven decisions.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Utilize CRM tools effectively to manage and update customer interactions, sales activities, and deal progress.

  • Market and Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to remain a subject matter expert and provide insights to the team.

  • Travel: This role will require international travel to meet with key clients and attend industry events.

  • How you’ll succeed
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales and account management experience in the technology industry, preferably dealing with AEC clients.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and develop data-driven sales strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and tailor solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, create plans, set milestones, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across departments, driving sales outcomes through teamwork with sales, technical support, finance, legal, marketing, and customer experience teams.
  • Adaptable and proactive, thriving in fast-paced environments, quickly learning new technologies, and flexible with travel to customer sites as needed.
