Job Title: System Administrator

Job Location: Cleveland, Ohio (Remote)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-time ColdFusion & Web Support Specialist to provide critical programming, operations, and maintenance (O&M) support for NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) applications and websites. This remote position will be responsible for maintaining existing ColdFusion applications, managing and transitioning WordPress sites, ensuring compliance, and providing general web support.

DoD Active Secret clearance prior to start

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related scientific field
• Active certifications

Required Skills:

• Provide ColdFusion programming, operations, and maintenance (O&M) support for 10-11 ColdFusion applications at Glenn Research Center.
• Support and maintain existing WordPress websites for Glenn Research Center.
• Conduct monthly compliance scans of all assigned websites.
• Transition WordPress sites to SharePoint sites, including active participation in migration efforts and support post-migration.
• Perform website traffic tracking and reporting for assigned sites.
• Grant and manage user access to WordPress installations.
• Collaborate with GRC staff to understand requirements and provide effective web solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ColdFusion applications and WordPress sites.
• Ensure all web operations adhere to NASA and GRC security and compliance standards.

Possesses experience in many of the following applications and tools:

• Programming Languages (C++, Java, Ada)
• Operating Systems: Linux, Windows
• Experience using software project lifecycle tools (e.g. version control, automated build systems, bug tracking, requirements management)

Desired Skills:

• Proven experience with ColdFusion programming, operations, and maintenance.
• Strong experience supporting and managing WordPress sites.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and experience in website migration processes (WordPress to SharePoint preferred).
• Experience with website traffic tracking tools and reporting.
• Proficiency in managing user access for web applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Prior experience supporting government or research organizations (especially NASA) is a plus.
