Marketing Assistant (Colombia)


Symphonic Distribution is a 100% independent music distribution and marketing company headquartered in downtown Tampa, FL, and with offices in Nashville and Bogota, Colombia. Join Symphonic Distribution as a Marketing Assistant and gain hands-on experience in the music industry. You'll assist in driving brand awareness and engagement by implementing social media strategies and creating dynamic, platform-specific content. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make meaningful contributions to our brand.


What you will do // 

  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster community interaction across social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Use Sprout Social to schedule posts across Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn according to Corporate Marketing’s content calendar.
  • Identify and foster non-traditional content distribution opportunities, including Reddit, social media influencers, Facebook Groups, LinkedIn Groups, and emerging mobile platforms.
  • Act as a supporting role for the Corporate Marketing team in day-to-day tasks.
  • Maintain and manage a unified brand voice across all social media channels.
  • Assist in implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create and curate content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Spotify, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop short-form video content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Support marketing campaigns, including paid ads and social media initiatives.
  • Update internal dashboards with marketing performance metrics.
  • Manage the backlog of podcasts and assist with transitioning them into video podcasts on Spotify for Podcasters.
  • Stay informed on the latest digital growth strategies and explore innovative ways to engage the audience, adapting strategies to suit each platform's unique requirements.
  • Keep up with industry news, trends, and pop culture moments to create engaging and relevant content. 
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including virtual webinars and in-person gatherings such as Creative Connections and conferences.
  • Represent Symphonic Distribution at concerts, showcases, presentations, mixers, and other events to foster industry connections and promote the brand.

What you need to have // 

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Strong interest in the music industry and independent music.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion and knowledge of social media trends and emerging platforms
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to learn quickly, to successfully execute based on guidance, and to handle multiple priorities.
  • Creative thinking that can contribute innovative marketing ideas and execute those ideas in a collaborative team environment.

What is nice to have // 

  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Portuguese
  • Experience with HTML, Photoshop, and/or other design skills
