Job Summary
The Parenteral Services RN Supervisor is responsible for supporting interdisciplinary teams—including nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, staffing coordinators, and laboratory coordinators. The RN Supervisor will oversee the safe administration, monitoring, and patient care delivery of TPN in the home setting. This role involves clinical supervision, patient education, operational coordination, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and AmeriPharma Specialty Infusion Services policies and procedures.

- Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and oversee a team of Registered Nurses (RNs) delivering TPN therapy
- Provide training, mentorship, and troubleshooting support for nursing staff
- Ensure RN compliance with operational policies and procedures related to TPN therapy and lab draws
- Foster teamwork, communication, and a collaborative work environment
Patient Care & Clinical Oversight
- Oversee the initiation and development of care plans for newly admitted patients
- Assist with nursing assessments and ongoing monitoring of patients receiving TPN therapy
- Educate patients and caregivers on TPN therapy, ancillary therapies, vascular access device management, and infection control practices
- Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and support staff to coordinate patient care, schedules, and appointments
- Support patients and caregivers to ensure service requirements are met
Operational & Staffing Coordination
- Supervise Staffing Coordinators to ensure adequate nursing coverage and efficient schedule management
- Supervise Laboratory Coordinators to ensure timely lab draws
- Oversee daily nursing needs, staffing, and patient care coordination
- Manage scheduling and coverage for patients
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Travel within assigned territory to provide oversight and assistance as needed
- Participate in on-call duties as required
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of TPN preparation, administration, equipment use, line complication management, and infection control practices
- Expertise in TPN laboratory monitoring guidelines and clinical parameters
- Proficient in the use, management, and troubleshooting of Central Lines, Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC), and Central Venous Access Devices (Implanted Port)
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other digital tools
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within assigned territory
Education and Experience Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Expertise in TPN therapy and related clinical practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Nutrition Support (CNSC) is highly desirable
- Experience in home infusion nursing and patient education
- Familiarity with AmeriPharma Specialty Infusion Services guidelines
