Application Developer

*This is a remote position with a salary range of $85,000 to $95,000*

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Applications Developer with a strong background in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to join our IT team. The Applications Developer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our EHR systems. This position will report directly to the EHR Systems Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Create, test, and implement data collection tools and other features that support programmatic needs and EHR workflow processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the EHR Systems Analyst and other IT professionals to understand requirements and translate them into functional application features.
• Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing applications to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed applications.
• Innovation: Stay up-to-update with the latest technologies and best practices in EHR systems and application development to continuously improve our software solutions.
• Customization and Maintenance: Assist in the development, customization, and maintenance of agency applications.
• End-User Support: Support end-users by troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistance.
• Integration: Assist in integrating third-party applications and tools like UiPath, Boomi, and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and analyze system performance metrics as needed.
• Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Software Testing: Perform software testing and quality assurance tasks to identify and resolve bugs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development, with a focus on EHR systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, .NET, SQL, and familiarity with EHR platforms.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Additional Skills: Proficiency in UiPath, Boomi, Microsoft Power Platform, and knowledge of HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards.

Salary Range: The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
