Job Overview Summary  

This Program Manager is an experienced role, operating under general supervision, responsible for providing support, services, and communications across all areas of the business to integrate, enable, and educate on security services. This role is ideal for someone skilled at translating business needs into security-aligned initiatives, driving projects across cross-functional teams, managing and improving security and compliance processes, and leading through governance, coordination, and enablement rather than deep technical authority. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Lead cross-functional projects by gathering business requirements, defining scope, and managing execution timelines and deliverables. 
  • Intake and translate business operation needs into clear project scopes, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams and business units to prioritize, plan, and execute security and compliance initiatives. 
  • Drive project lifecycle activities including status tracking, risk management, communications, and documentation. 
  • Facilitate transparency through consistent reporting and stakeholder engagement across all project phases. 
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including requirements, roadmaps, meeting notes, and transition plans. 
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing workflow efficiencies and automation opportunities. 
  • Evangelize security and compliance best practices to help integrate them into operational processes and culture. 
  • Provide oversight of security governance processes, assisting with policy adherence and compliance initiatives. 
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk management practices and incident response coordination. 
  • Assist with audit preparation, standards enforcement, and evidence collection as needed. 
  • Own and assist with security and compliance metrics, dashboards, and performance tracking. 
  • Assist in documenting and owning non-technical security systems, compliance tracking tools, and business-facing risk management processes. 

Location  

This role is open to candidates working remotely in the United States.  

Basic Qualifications 

  • BS in Business, Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience 
  • Project+, PMP, or other relevant project management certifications or equivalent experience 
  • Experience with collaboration across technical and non-technical teams 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Preferred knowledge of internal, Advarra business operations and customer support  
  • Professional Certification(s) in information security, governance, risk and/or compliance (e.g. GSEC, HCIPP, CISA, CompTIA Security+, etc.)  
  • Working knowledge of security, governance, risk, compliance and privacy concepts and practices as they apply to health care and information technology  
  • Working knowledge of relevant authoritative source material (e.g., PCI, GDPR, CMMC etc.)  
  • Working knowledge of relevant industry best practices (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, HITRUST etc.)  
  • Working knowledge of business risk management strategies and management practices   

Physical and Mental Requirements 

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation 
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.  
  • Learn and comprehend basic instructions 
  • Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities 
  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking

The base salary range for this role is $​61,200 - $104,100​. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits
