Life Orientation Teacher - IEB FET at Teneo Education

Teneo is looking for an experienced and dynamic Life Orientation Teacher to join our IEB FET team. The ideal candidate will be adept at using digital tools to deliver engaging and effective instruction, have a deep understanding of Life Orientation curriculum, and be committed to fostering a positive and interactive online learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging Life Orientation lessons to students in an online format.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that leverage technology to enhance learning.
• Create and manage online course materials, including lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and support to ensure academic success.
• Facilitate interactive and collaborative learning experiences through virtual platforms.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in Life Orientation education and online teaching methodologies.
• Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and wellbeing.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification and relevant qualifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Life Orientation, preferably with experience in an online education setting.
• Strong understanding of the Life Orientation curriculum and the ability to deliver it effectively in a virtual environment.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students in an online learning setting.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
