To support this growth we are seeking a Director to join our People Services group. This Director will oversee multiple projects simultaneously and be involved in the development and execution of key People projects across the portfolio – from strategic projects to drive teammate development and engagement, to jumping in to solving the most pressing people challenges facing our organization.

This Director will serve as a strategic thought leader, playing a vital role in the ongoing growth, development and success of the organization, while at the same time sustaining the DaVita Way – a key part of our culture all about connection, relationships and purpose.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Present ideas for special projects that would advance our People strategies
  • Answer-first approach
  • Teammate-centered approach

Project management

  • Regularly apprise leadership of project status and variations from schedule or scope
  • Scope, plan and execute multiple, often quick-turnaround projects with minimal assistance

Leadership and collaboration

  • Build relationships within the People Services organization and across diverse departments
  • Lead not just through title but through influence, providing strategic guidance and effecting change outside of lane in interest of bettering overall organization
  • Direct execution, not just strategic development

Executive communication

  • Prepare executive-level presentations to share with all levels of leadership including DaVita’s CPO and other C-level executives
  • Synthesize information, translate into specific action, and gain buy-in to execute

Qualifications

  • BA required; MBA or advanced degree (MHA, MPH, MD, PhD) highly preferred
  • 1-4 years of strategy consulting experience with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or other similar strategic experience
  • Relevant experience in frontline healthcare operations leadership, particularly in dialysis, a plus but not required
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams
  • Travel requirement varies based on office location; Denver preferred but open to remote

Additional success factors

  • Highly organized, structured working style with strong project management skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Interest and curiosity in broad array of topics and issues
  • Confidence to work effectively with senior teammates
  • Strong analytic and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who can work effectively with limited oversight while pushing for access and input when needed
  • Resourcefulness—the ability to find and implement effective solutions despite time or resource constraints
  • Attention to detail (follow up and follow through are a MUST in this role)
  • GSD and following through on initiatives & projects to successful completion
  • Poise, tact and diplomacy under pressure
  • Flexibility & openness to frequent schedule/calendar changes and emerging priorities
  • “Can-do” &  results-focused mentality—willing to do what it takes to get the job done
