L2 Cloud Ops Engineer

Key Responsibilities

· Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services

· Maintain and optimize virtual environments, including VMs running Solr

· Support and enhance Sitecore infrastructure (added advantage)

· Implement and manage advanced networking configurations (VPNs, load balancers, VNETs, subnetting, firewalls)

· Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and New Relic

· Automate cloud tasks using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD pipelines

· Create and maintain PowerShell scripts and optionally Python-based automation

· Identify and resolve database issues, optimize queries, and contribute to database design where applicable

· Enforce and maintain cloud security best practices (identity management, encryption, network security)

· Administer and optimize both Windows Server and Linux systems

· Support API gateway management, especially through Azure API Management

· Monitor and manage cloud costs, optimizing for usage and efficiency

· Lead incident resolution and provide mentorship to Level 1 support teams

· Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with business and technical goals

Technical Skills

· Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

· Sitecore Architecture & Operations (added advantage)

· Virtualization (Solr-based systems a plus)

· Azure Networking, VPNs, Firewalls, Subnets, Load Balancing

· CI/CD & Automation (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

· PowerShell (Python is a plus)

· Monitoring & Logging (Azure Monitor, New Relic)

· Windows Server & Linux Admin

· SQL Query Optimization & Basic Design

· Azure API Management

· Cost and Resource Optimization

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

· Sitecore Experience Platform Certified Developer (added advantage)

· ITIL Intermediate Certification (added advantage)

· CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) (added advantage)

· CompTIA Cloud+ / Network+ (added advantage)
