Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms and terraform to support our cloud infrastructure in a highly regulated, data-sensitive environment. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure to support our core credit rating services and analytics platforms.
This role requires a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and the unique security and compliance needs of the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Deployment:

• Design, deploy, and manage secure, highly available, and scalable cloud infrastructure using Azure and/or AWS.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to enable consistent and repeatable deployments.
• Architect hybrid cloud and multi-cloud solutions aligned with business and regulatory needs.

DevSecOps & Automation:

• Develop CI/CD pipelines integrated with secure code practices.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring using tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or AWS Code Pipeline.
• Embed security controls and policy-as-code frameworks into cloud automation.

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with financial industry regulations such as SOX, PCI DSS, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
• Implement IAM, encryption, network security, and threat detection mechanisms tailored for sensitive financial data.
• Participate in internal and external security audits and risk assessments.

Monitoring & Optimization:

• Monitor system performance, cost, and availability using Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, or equivalent tools.
• Implement cost-optimization strategies to balance performance and budget requirements.
• Troubleshoot cloud issues and perform root cause analysis.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and cybersecurity teams to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Train junior engineers and support cross-functional teams in cloud best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering roles within regulated industries, preferably financial services.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) – certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• Strong experience with Terraform, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Hands-on experience with networking, security, identity management, and governance in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architecture is a plus.
