The Associate, Payer Engagement will be a critical member of MCRA's Reimbursement, Health Economics & Market Access (RHEMA) team reporting directly to the Manager, Reimbursement, Health Economics & Market Access. This role will be focused on payer engagement & relations, coverage, payment, and commercial market access.
ResponsibilitesMonitor payer medical and reimbursement policies and coverage decision updates. Develop, implement, and monitor initiatives targeting payer coverage.Engage with payers to understand and manage expectations for additional clinical/economic evidence.Ability to clearly articulate the client's clinical and economic value to help support positive payer coverage to key stakeholders, including but not limited to payers, specialty societies, reimbursement authorities, and providers.Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, payers, etc.; resolves any customer requests in a timely and accurate manner; escalates complaints accordingly.Adhere to all HIPAA compliance policies.Ensure all work products comply fully with standards, policies, and mission of MCRA, an IQVIA business.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a related field required3-5 years of experience in a health policy, reimbursement, health economics/market access position, consulting firm or a similar preferred.Direct experience working for or with medical device manufacturers, payers, utilization management organizations, and health technology assessment organizations preferred.Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business, their interaction, and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline.Knowledge of consulting methods, tools, and techniques related to one’s functional area.Well-versed in current industry trends, emerging developments, and major competitor activities.Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive positioning.Familiarity with relevant professional and trade organizations, including key stakeholders and influential companies.Self-directed individual able to manage client/payer engagements with minimal supervision.Effective time management skillsNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
