Fullstack .Net Developer to work closely with project team on Modernization Project. Will be responsible for planning, designing, coding, testing, troubleshooting, integrating, and maintaining applications in a .NET environment. Supports security management, performance monitoring, and enhancements. The MySchools Modernization Project will rebuild the MySchools application for The New York City (“NYC”) Department of Education (“DOE), serving over 1.1 million children across 1,800 schools. The current system no longer meets the DOE’s needs and poses significant challenges, including outdated technology and limited scalability. These issues hinder the ability to deliver seamless user experiences, adapt to evolving policy needs, and meet the increasing demands of users during peak periods. This project will deliver a modernized platform that aligns with current technology standards, ensuring long-term sustainability, improved system performance, student information security and reduced operational overhead. The new system will enhance usability for families, streamline workflows for schools, and provide robust tools for administrative staff to manage admissions processes with greater efficiency. Rebuilding the system will not only address the technical and operational challenges of the current system but also position the DOE to deliver a seamless, efficient, and equitable admissions experience for all stakeholders, and further the mission of providing quality education to every student.
