We are seeking a skilled Technical/IT Specialist to partner with our federal client in optimizing hardware and software solutions that support data manipulation, visualization, and the effective management of federal budget formulation and execution. The successful candidate will design, develop, and enhance Office 365 Power Platform and SharePoint solutions, provide expert guidance on systems architecture and integration, and support research and analysis efforts to streamline agency workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to evaluate existing hardware and software landscapes and identify opportunities to improve data workflows, reporting, and visualization capabilities.
- Design, configure, and extend solutions using Office 365 Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and SharePoint to facilitate collaboration, data storage, and reporting needs.
- Offer expert advice on system architecture, integration strategies, and database management to ensure seamless connectivity between enterprise applications and the BFEM Budget Formulation Module.
- Apply best practices from the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with change management teams to implement new tools and processes, promoting user adoption across diverse federal teams.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, test artifacts, and user training materials to ensure sustainable solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of experience solving complex problems through hardware/software optimization and SDLC methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Office 365 collaboration platforms, especially Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and SharePoint.
- Proven experience designing and implementing data manipulation and visualization solutions.
- Familiarity with the BFEM Budget Formulation Module and related federal budgeting tools.
- Experience advising on system architecture, integration, and database management within a federal environment.
- Understanding of change management principles and ability to collaborate effectively across organizational and cultural boundaries.
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical guidance skills.
- Eligibility to pass a federal background investigation.
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Position will require a Public Trust background investigation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform and SharePoint certifications.
- Prior experience automating and integrating workflows within BFEM Budget Formulation.
- Experience with department-wide automated management systems and development/testing standards.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
