Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a remote role out of South East Asia (SEA).

This position reports to Sr. Director of Supply Chain APAC region and is responsible for the strategic management of our regional Machined Components and Stamping FG category, including machined components, chain, bearing, casting and stamping, including finished goods made of those components. This position will provide regional category leadership, aligning with segment and global category teams and working closely with segment and divisional product leaders, operations and other key stakeholders to deploy strategies that drive value and sustainability in our supply chain. This key role will work closely with the regional supply chain teams, operations, plant and corporate leaders in the development of strategic plans and supporting objectives to drive overall performance across Regal Rexnord. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and drive a category strategy for Machined and Stamping FG, covering all sub-categories, including develop strategic sourcing partnerships, lead negotiations, and implement strategy.
  • Lead Supplier management strategy including supplier development, supply base consolidation, cost reduction roadmaps and implementation of supplier segmentation plan.
  • Partner with business segments and influence the strategic direction of the category strategy, including design criteria, and directed sourcing requirements.
  • Lead the effort to achieve and maintain alignment in the value chain between the suppliers, and the end customer in all form, fit, function, price and delivery requirements. 
  • Strategically support divisions within the larger function of global supply chain. 
  • Manage, track, and report key cost drivers, market trends from historical and forecasting perspectives.
  • Establish and implement countermeasures to compensate for negative performance and market trends. 
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the category total cost, including an integrated view of tooling and component costs as a part of the category strategy.
  • Partner with the operational purchasing teams to ensure period-over-period process improvements.
  • Drive innovation and a focus on continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
  • Timely reporting of agreed-on KPIs and present strategic sourcing plans, activities and successes to the Senior Leadership Team. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ·         BA or BS degree required, preferably in Supply Chain/Operations management.  Master’s Degree / MBA desired.

    ·         Minimum of 10 years of direct supply chain, operations, or related experience.

    ·         Deep understanding of industrial components supply base, cost drivers, market dynamics, and cost management/reduction strategies.

    ·         Demonstrated experience with direct material sourcing on a global scale, with multi-tier supplier relationship management.

    ·         Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to use a structured approach to understand, analyze and solve complex problems.

    ·         Demonstrated ability to develop working partnerships with senior executives across the business and to influence them to create change.

    ·         Demonstrated cross-functional / cross-departmental outlook, working across a decentralized organization.

    ·         Strong written communication and oral presentation skills and ability to present convincingly to senior levels.

Travel: Approximately 50% travel, mainly China and SEA

Language: English and Mandarin is a plus
