Job description

 

Title: Research Associate - P1

Location: Remote - Canada

Reports to: Research Manager

 

The Role: You will support the team on work related to our customer satisfaction survey research-based business. In this role, you will work with the manager to conduct our syndicated research studies.  The primary duties of the Research team include working with your manager to develop new or revised survey content that meets J.D. Power’s high standards. You will support your manager in the questionnaire design work as needed. You will also assist with the development of the sample design for our syndicated research products, review survey links for accuracy, verbatim coding, conduct data validation and the creation of study deliverables. You will work closely with your manager and the broader team to ensure studies are designed to maintain scientific integrity and are of high quality. It is expected that your work on the syndicated studies will be done in an efficient and timely manner.

 

The Impact: The Associate of Research will be an individual contributor in a team of over 20 Research analysts. You are expected to be proactive in your work as well as collaborating with other team members and departments. The verbatim coding has a tremendous impact on the overall rankings, and it is expected that these are accurate and consistent.  You and your team will ensure that J.D. Power studies are developed or redesigned to meet client needs in a timely manner and ensure that the production of the syndicated study is efficient and smooth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Verbatim Coding
  • Work with the manager to ensure that survey and sample plan designs meet J.D. Power standards
  • Assist manager in the development of the survey document and sample plan specifications
  • Work with survey programming to ensure study designs are implemented as planned
  • Assist in the design and implementation of data processing specifications
  • Perform QA processes on survey data to ensure data validity
  • Produce and validate data files used by clients and internally for analysis
  • Creation of study deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in market research and/or related fields (classes or work)
  • Strong organizational skills, communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Beginning to Intermediate use of SPSS (preferred but not required)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word)
