Job Description
To manage cost reporting and provide accurate, timely financial insights and analyses that support strategic decision-making and performance improvement for the in-house last-mile network. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and process enhancement in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Skills and preferred qualifications
Manage the weekly cost reporting process for the in-house last-mile network.
Assist in the preparation of weekly business review materials, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and other long-term financial plans.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis.
Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
Ability to work US hours and fluency in English.
Advanced Excel knowledge, including Power Query automation.
Familiarity with Power BI front end dashboard creation.
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
Preferred, but not essential:
Knowledge of logistics operations.
Experience with Power BI back end development or other data modelling software.
Proficiency of SQL language and experience writing SQL scripts.
Experience using Knime, Alteryx or other data workflow automation tools.
