About the Role
The Senior Business Systems Analyst (EBS) role at Business Wire provides support for our business and technology teams, partnering with these groups to deliver technology solutions. This role will be responsible for leading delivery of Oracle E-Business Suite projects that improve finance processes; as well as provide ongoing maintenance; technical support and enhancements for EBS applications. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on analyst with deep experience in Oracle Financial modules and a strong understanding of finance and accounting processes.
What You'll DoProvide hands-on development and support for Oracle EBS R12, including Finance modules such as GL, AP, FA, AR, CM, Revenue Recognition and others.Orchestrate and communicate rollout of software and process improvements. Develop solutions that meet business requirements via analysis and design activities.Gather and document project business requirements under direction of Finance team leads.Manage and implement finance process improvement projects across multiple EBS modules as well as system upgrade projects including Oracle Technical Assistance Request (TAR) resolution.Develop and execute test plans; Coordinate with end users and developers to perform unit, system, and regression testing.Provide production support and implement enhancements for existing financial applications across Finance’s application portfolio as well as integrations between EBS and other systems such as Esker Invoice Delivery. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, including ledger balancing, reconciliation, and FSG reporting.Troubleshoot and resolve issues; liaise with Oracle Support and internal technical team as needed.Partner with GRC function to establish, test and document key application controls and ensure SOX compliance.Proactively identify opportunities to enhance and automate financial and accounting processes and work with Finance team leads to prioritize.Work closely with business stakeholders to prioritize system improvement initiatives and play the key role of solution architect and project lead.Communicate process of projects and initiatives and provide status updates to stakeholders across Finance and IT.What You'll Need10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Finance applications. Preferred bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.7+ years hands-on implementation experience with Oracle EBS R12, with focus on Finance modules. 5+ years of experience in business analysis and the ability to write ad-hoc Oracle SQL scripts.In-depth functional knowledge of core Oracle Applications, including GL, AP, FA, AR, and CM.Demonstrated successful experience with Oracle GL setup, including Chart of accounts, multi-legal entities, multi-currency, revaluation, intercompany, allocations, consolidations, FSG reporting, and period close activities.Strong knowledge and understanding of financial accounting, SOX control, general business processes, and best practices.Technical understanding Oracle EBS architecture and underlying data structures and relationships.Proven project management and organizational skills required to manage work across multiple initiatives with limited oversight.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Business Wire will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position

The base salary range for this position is $140K to $150K/year. Offered salary will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
