Business Development Manager – Engineered Pump Solutions

Territory: MI, OH, PA, KY, WV, AL, IN, Western NY, and Ontario, Canada
Employment Type: Full- Time | Remote | Travel ~ 50%
Compensation: Base Salary $ 84,000 – $ 130,000 + Generous Incentive Plan

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth across a strategic North American territory. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with experience in solving complex technical challenges and building trusted relationships with OEM clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute the regional growth strategy for your assigned territory.

  • Identify, develop, and close new OEM accounts in key sectors including medical devices, laboratory equipment, analytical systems, and automation.

  • Partner with internal teams (product management, account management, engineering) to support seamless onboarding and long-term customer success.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in pump applications, delivering tailored solutions to technical challenges.

  • Serve as a trusted representative of a globally respected pump brand, supported by dedicated engineering, logistics, and production teams.

Territory Coverage:

Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Alabama, Western New York ( Buffalo/ Rochester), and Ontario, Canada
Travel Required: Approximately 50%



Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Proven background in industrial technical sales, preferably in pumps, valves, or fluid-handling systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) strongly preferred. Candidates with no degree but have 10+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver value-based engineered solutions to OEMs.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce a plus) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

  • Must be able to pass a background check, reference check and drug screen​

  • Base Salary: $84,000 – $130,000 (based on experience)

  • Incentive Program:

    • Year One: 20% of base (10% group, 5% territory, 5% discretionary)

    • Up to 40% total incentive potential for new business development

Interview Process:
  1. Initial video screening with HR

  2. Video interview with the Director of Sales
