Logistics Manager

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Logistics Manager to oversee domestic U.S. freight operations, with a focus on air and ocean freight. This leadership role requires a candidate with strong freight forwarding experience, team management capabilities, and solid computer skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and ensures the accuracy of both shipment handling and quote entry processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily operations for domestic air, ocean, and LTL shipments
  
• Manage and lead a team of up to 10 direct reports, providing support and coaching
  
• Execute and verify shipment and quote entries in internal systems
  
• Ensure timely routing, carrier selection, and coordination of freight movements
  
• Communicate with vendors, carriers, and customers to resolve issues promptly
  
• Maintain compliance with logistics procedures and regulatory requirements
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure service quality and responsiveness
  
• Track performance KPIs and implement process improvements
  

QUALIFICATIONS

•  Freight forwarding experience is mandatory
  
• Hands-on experience in domestic U.S. air and ocean freight logistics
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  
• Experience managing logistics teams or departments
  
• Knowledge of U.S. freight regulations and carrier networks
  
• Background in customer-facing or operational coordination roles
  
• Familiarity with freight systems or TMS platforms (training provided if needed)
  
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related discipline.
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
  
• ​Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule, specifically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST.
