Under the supervision of the Team Lead, Account Payable, the main mandate of the Accounting Clerk is to check, classify and enter the invoices to be paid that are received by email and make appropriate follow ups on these. Reconcile the supplier and customer statements and provide support in various mandates.


RESPONSIBILITIES

 More specifically, the Payable Accounting Clerk must:

  • Manage the generic payables mailbox;
  • Proceed in a meticulous way to the numerical classification of the documents;
  • Enter Vendor invoices and make appropriate follow-ups;
  • Respond to requests from Vendors and internal requests;
  • Resolve potential issues related to Vendor invoices;
  • Verify and assemble supporting documents for invoice processing;
  • Verify and reconcile the statements from Vendors;
  • Support the technicians in the Vendor creation.

Employee may be assigned to other responsibilities that do not pertain to their former description, if they have the required experience, are qualified and/or have received adequate training.



Requirements


Education

  • Diploma in accounting/administration completed (vocation studies;

 

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in accounts payable or accounting;
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft Office tools;
  • Good knowledge of English both orally and in writing (French is an asset);
  • Great organizational skills and good priority management;
  • Precision and attention to details;
