The position

We are recruiting for a Software Development Team Lead to work as part of the R&D team based in India or Porto (Portugal). This team is part of a bigger global R&D team.

You will be responsible for leading a global team of software developer across different locations. The team is responsible to extending mature applications for the purpose of data acquisition and all its related aspects.

You will be part of a global R&D team, leading the development of data acquisition software products such as Perception, BKConnect, and Tescia.

HBK products contribute to a variety of applications across technology sectors such as: Automotive, Electric Drives & Generator, Aerospace, Energy / High-Voltage, Material Testing and Service.

This role will involve leading a team through situational leadership, with the opportunity to act as a Scrum Master in Agile Release Trains. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners and Architects as a leader and technical expert to ensure successful project execution.

You will be responsible for: 

  • Leading a team between 4 and 8 developers across different locations

  • Foster the growth and development of your team members through continuous coaching, mentorship, and training. Identify individual strengths and areas for improvement, and provide opportunities for professional development to enhance their skills and career progression.

  • Drive and maintain the functional domain of Software Development

  • Contribute to a comprehensive technology roadmap

Professional qualifications 

  • More than 5 years’ experience in software development, preferably on the windows platform. 

  • Proven experience in effectively leading and managing small teams, fostering collaboration, and driving successful project outcomes.

  • Bachelor / master of Engineering or Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Science or Information Technology. 

  • Extensive experience in object-oriented programming with C++ and C#, as well as proficiency in web technologies including React, JavaScript or GraphQL to drive modern application full stack development

  • Familiar with agile way of working, Scrum Master certification is a plus.

  • Knowledge and experience of Jira and Confluence would be advantageous.

  • Knowledge on Test and Measurement domain would be an advantage.

  • Experience in product development (instrumentation preferred)

  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and effectively 

  • Decision-Making: Ability to make informed decisions quickly and efficiently, balancing technical and business considerations 

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English. Danish, German, Portuguese and/or Dutch is a plus.
