Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and successful Account Director to join our team in Germany at VMware by Broadcom. In this role, you will take ownership of customer engagement while orchestrating a team of specialists to identify, develop, and deliver value-based opportunities that benefit both the company and the customer. Our mission is to expand Broadcom’s presence within designated accounts, positioning the Broadcom portfolio as a core solution. Our offerings transform IT from being perceived as a cost center to becoming a strategic enabler. Each customer presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities, requiring all of your skills and experience to engage effectively across stakeholders and business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Sell the complete Broadcom solution portfolio to strategic customers

  • Develop and execute an account portfolio sales strategy, focusing on key accounts while maintaining regular sales engagement

  • Leverage channel partners to implement the account portfolio sales strategy

  • Manage the entire sales cycle for transactions

  • Drive product adoption, increase consumption, and grow customer accounts

  • Ensure successful contract renewals

  • Strengthen existing customer relationships and elevate them to a strategic level

  • Align Broadcom’s portfolio with the business needs, challenges, and technical requirements of designated customers

Language Requirements: Proficiency in both German and English

Experience Required

  • Experience in data center software, security, and network security solutions, with a focus on strategic industry accounts

  • Background in sales within an overlay or product sales specialist role

  • Demonstrated success in both direct sales and indirect or channel-driven sales models

  • Proven ability to lead sales campaigns involving sales executives, field systems engineers (SEs), Inside Sales, Field Marketing, CPM, and Services teams

  • Experience in managing geographically dispersed/virtual teams

  • Track record of success in highly competitive sales environments

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a broader team.
