Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented life scientist to join the Cell Analysis US Field Applications Scientist team. The ideal individual will be outgoing and confident with excellent communication/presentation skills. The successful candidate will work well independently but will appreciate being part of a dynamic, growing sales team supporting research in the life sciences, including supporting customer use of instrumentation focused on microscopy, live cell analysis, flow cytometry, metabolic profiling and multimode detection.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide field-based & remote scientific engagement with customers in both pre/post-sales capacities; from focused 1:1 consultation, to product demonstrations and applications-focused training & assay optimization

  • Develop expertise with instrument hardware/software while keeping abreast of current assays/workflows as well as emerging applications

  • Convey customers’ voice and feedback to product management to promote innovation and address evolving market requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Microbiology, Cell Biology, Bio-engineering or related field. PhD preferred.

  • 1+ years relevant experience in an advanced academic or industrial experience using microplate-based imaging instrumentation, preferably in an HCS or HTS lab setting.

  • Strong academic or industrial experience using microplate-based instrumentation, preferably in an HCS or HTS lab setting. Experience using ACEA, BioTek, and Seahorse products a plus.

  • Strong expertise in imaging (confocal and widefield microscopy) required with additional experience in flow cytometry, impedance, and metabolic assays preferred.

  • Strong foundation in the use of data analysis software programs (such as ImageJ, CellProfiler, FlowJo, or similar) preferred.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including comfort with public speaking, as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Must be willing to travel 40%-60% domestically.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least May 26, 2025 or until the job is no longer posted. It is sales incentive eligible. In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $102,975.00 - $171,625.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
