About the team and role: 

The Financial Platform team at Dave is responsible for building and maintaining the financial infrastructure that powers all of Dave’s financial products. This team ensures that the platform is highly available, low-latency, and cost-efficient. Members of this organization work on a variety of products across Debit , ACH and Banking rails.

We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager to join our Product Management team. This role will focus on developing  the next generation of Dave’s banking platform. You will drive the enhancement of banking integration with our processing partners and develop our Bank Rails infrastructure to integrate seamlessly and efficiently with new partners across all key areas of our banking stack, such as Sponsor Banks and third-party vendors, while managing upstream and downstream impacts. Additionally, you will create partner-agnostic APIs that still feel bespoke to individual use cases. You will also collaborate closely with our other product managers to identify and resolve issues affecting our banking customers. 

You will drive platform initiatives from inception to execution. You will identify opportunities to consolidate and enhance capabilities, driving adoption to help all our customers and teams move faster. You will look beyond our current state to anticipate the future needs of the Dave Banking business and build the necessary solutions to get us there. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Financial Operations & Partnerships, Product Data Science, and upstream Consumer-facing Product teams, to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful delivery.

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop a banking platform strategy and roadmap to align with Dave's overall business and product roadmap. 

  • Leverage your expertise in sponsor bank integrations, user migrations , card issuance, and payment processing to shape our banking platform strategy, supporting Dave's growth in this space.  

  • Partner with Dave’s line of business owners to support their strategy and roadmap and enable product expansion and business growth. 

  • Come up with innovative solutions with the adoption of the latest payment technology to solve customer pain points.

  • Collaborate closely with our third-party partners and vendors to enhance platform performance, develop new products, and improve user experience. 

  • Responsible for managing Dave’s banking processing costs. Track vendor expenses and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve variable margin.  

  • Rally with cross-functional stakeholders to align goals, strategy, and roadmap. 

  • Communicate, coordinate, and work closely with the banking platform squad and the other product and engineering teams to drive the end-to-end product development life cycle. 

  • Conduct product discovery, articulate business and member values, and develop thorough product requirements.

What you’ll need: 

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or equivalent product experience.

  • Over three years of experience in the financial technology industry, preferably with digital banks or issuing platforms.

  • 3+ years of work experience in building feature-rich banking user experience using a sponsor bank and 3rd party partners. 

  • Deep expertise with ACH processing, NACHA protocol, and return management. 

  • Capability to drive strategy and establish a guiding principle for a highly available, highly scalable banking platform.

  • Masterful understanding of product development life cycle from product discovery, ideation, and requirement definition to execution and go live.  

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams to build consensus and collaborate on execution to deliver member value and achieve business goals.

  • Ability to utilize data analytics and customer feedback to identify pain points, opportunities, and areas for improvement in banking platform scalability, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a business or technical field).
