The Global Director, Client Technology delivers and supports technology solutions that enable our professionals to deliver their services in a technology enhanced and most efficient way. Clients expect their services providers to apply cutting-edge technology to resolve their business issues timely with a cost sensitive approach. Hence, the role includes the management of client-facing applications and working with business stakeholders to align technology with client needs to improve efficiency and client satisfaction. The role also acts as the driver for AI initiatives at the Global level. The Client Technology team is a new team within Global Business Technology department and will form part of the core team structure.

Requirements

  • Develop and deliver overall front of office client technology, with a particular focus on revenue generating technology solutions, including democratization of technology solutions across Dentons regions.
  • In cooperation with the firm’s GenAI / Innovation leaders leading the development and implementation of the firm’s enterprise GenAI strategy and solutions, and their ongoing enhancement and maintenance.
  • Build and lead a team of client technologists responsible for solution delivery.
  • Shape solutions and develop and gain consensus on proposals and funding requirements.
  • Create and management of the firm’s client technology product roadmaps, working with vendors to understand and influence their product roadmaps to determine how best to meet the firm’s needs, as well as developing roadmaps for internally built solutions to achieve the same.
  • Act as an advocate for business stakeholders within the Global Business Technology group.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of technology solutions.
  • Have an understanding that broad adoption of new technology solution by pertinent law professionals will be KPI for success.

Skills and competencies

The Global Director Client, Technology must demonstrate a diverse set of skills and competencies including:

  • Strategic thinking and planning.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an international professional services firm, IT firm or legal department of an Multinational Enterprise.
  • Excellent understanding of legal technology and its application with strong vendor relationships.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in legal technology.
  • Strong software development lifecycle expertise.
  • Experience of leading teams in the building of productivity solutions using Power Platform, CoPilot and Azure AI.
  • Able to work with business stakeholders to understand business needs, to agree what is required to deliver optimal business value and translate this into a technical solution.
  • Outstanding project management skills, highly delivery focused, with a strong track record of delivering fully fit for purpose solutions on-time and to budget.
  • Demonstrated experience in building, managing, and nurturing relationships, including effective collaboration with teams and vendors.
  • Ability to listen, build trust, and develop credibility as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Methodical approach to documentation with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and quality.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, technology architecture, and IT service management.
  • Strong understanding of importance of UX for adoption.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

Education, Experience and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in client technology delivery or similar strategic IT role or senior Consulting experience.
  • Change management expertise and experience with digital transformation initiatives.
  • Business Analysis, Project Management experience.
  • Experience with strategic planning, budget management, and resource allocation.
