Role description

The Managing Commercial Director at Raidboxes will be a key member of the local leadership team at Raidboxes, overseeing primarily the commercial strategy but also broader business operations as local Managing Director. This role holds overall responsibility for the commercial functions that drive revenue and serve our customers, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care.

In addition to leading these teams, the Managing Commercial Director will maintain a strategic overview of the company’s overall performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives such as growth, efficiency and profitability. They will collaborate closely with regional stakeholders and get support from group functional units (Finance, Tech, Data and Product) to drive sustainable success and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Setting business objectives and creating, implementing and analyzing success of strategies
  • Forecasting, planning and setting budgets in coordination with the finance department for all commercial activities within the business, in line with group targets
  • Leverage sales, marketing and support in order to drive significant revenue growth of the business
  • Lead and develop functional leads of marketing, sales and support
  • Define and implement local strategies for pricing & packaging to increase average value of customers and the number of gross adds
  • Working with marketing to welcome more and more customers at Raidboxes through an inspiring storyline, while closely managing and optimizing Cost of Acquisition.
  • Focusing on channel innovation to drive maximum customer volumes through both marketing and sales efforts
  • Manage cross-selling and up-selling activities driven, for example through marketing automation, with the goal of increasing product adoption, usage and ARPU
  • Leading the business in a way that puts customer satisfaction and the customer journey at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that we are completely customer centric, whilst maintaining an efficient and well managed customer support offer
  • Setting objectives in conjunction with our support team, developing strategies to achieve maximum output whilst also ensuring the highest possible level of customer service as measured through NPS
  • Nurture and grow our corporate accounts and resellers channel
  • Analyzing customer feedback and trends to identify areas of product and service improvement
  • Analyzing the competition and market conditions and implementing strategies to ensure Raidboxes has a (continuous) competitive edge
  • Build a culture of data driven decision making within teams, ensuring tracking is correctly defined and implemented
  • Design and implementation of processes and procedures in line with the group best practices, to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Conduct regular analysis of customer base to identify trends and measure growth. Identifying emerging customer needs and bringing them group product functional unit
Required skills and experience
  • Commercial acumen to be able to manage complex projects considering the impact on the overall organization
  • In depth senior management experience managing teams within the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service function, with strong inspirational leadership skills
  • Great experience in managing teams in marketing, customer care and sales teams in a B2B / SMEs setting, ideally in a technology or SaaS related industry
  • Strong experience in performance and digital marketing with test and learn mentality
  • Ability to meet challenging targets within tight deadlines
  • Excellent ability to organize, synthesize and present information to senior leadership and key stakeholders in product, marketing, finance and sales teams
  • Deep understanding of subscription-based business model
  • Strategic yet hands-on approach
  • Effective cost center management and budgetary control
  • A German national & German speaker who is also fluent in English
  • Located near the Münster area is a plus, as this role requires a presence and active engagement on-site
  • Knowledge of domain and hosting industry a plus
