NeoGenomics is looking for a Sr. ETL/Data Integration Engineer wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is a remote position with a Monday – Friday day shift.

Position Summary:

The Senior ETL/Data Integration Engineer – Data & Analytics plays a key role in the informatics division at NeoGenomics, enabling analytics on cloud data assets and ensuring high-quality data for cancer genetics research and innovation. The Senior ETL/Data Integration Engineer – Data & Analytics is responsible for API integration, data transformation, and relational database management to support various data-driven initiatives within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements for tailored data assets
  • Provide accurate effort estimates and design solutions that align with customer specifications
    Develop and maintain data pipelines to efficiently extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources and formats (RESTful APIs, RDPs, Containers)
  • Implement, test, and maintain data solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and adherence to best practices
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, addressing queries and providing technical support
  • Offer innovative solutions to accommodate new stakeholder requirements, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction

Experience, Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required
    Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
  • 5 or more years of hand-on experience in data engineering, data integration, or a related field with a strong focus on ETL processes and orchestration -OR-
  • 3 or more years of experience with a Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Possess superior knowledge of cloud services and their integration with data engineering processes
  • Experience in streaming data processing
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages for data transformation and automation, including Python, SQL, PowerShell, and JavaScript
  • Exhibit expertise in consuming RESTful APIs and working with semi-structured data formats (JSON, XML)
  • Apply advanced SQL skills with extensive experience in relational databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle
  • Show strong skills in data modeling, schema design, and ETL processes
  • Implement cloud data engineering best practices using AWS, Azure, and Snowflake
