MTX Store Lead

What is your role? 

As an MTX Lead for Eleventh Hour Games, you will develop and implement successful MTX strategies by implementing industry standards and market research to develop revolving MTX shop strategies and working with correlating teams towards implementation.

This position will require a candidate with deep understanding of the MTX lifecycle within ARPGs and the Steam store itself, specifically adapting to Last Epoch. This role is ideal for someone who craves ownership and has strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The role requires excellent communication skills and autonomy as you will be working with a fully remote team.

Qualifications

• • 5+ years of industry experience in a related MTX role. 
  • Strong understanding of the intersection of game mechanics and monetization strategies 
    
  • Understanding of digital platforms, online stores, and payment systems
    
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical tools especially in relation to strategy  
    
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles 
    
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills as you will be working with developers, marketing teams, and other related departments
  • A portfolio or samples of previous work showcasing your ability to design and optimize monetization systems  
  • Strong understanding of microtransactions:
    • Knowledge of how they work, their impact on game economies, and best practices for managing them
      
    • The ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
      
  • Managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
    
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues and other challenges that may arise
    
  • Passion for games and a keen interest in the gaming industry

Responsibilities

• • Managing the digital store or in-game environment including the selection, pricing, and promotion of virtual items, in-game currency, and other microtransaction-related products.
    
  • Tracking and analyzing sales data to understand which microtransactions are popular and how they contribute to overall revenue
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies: This might involve creating promotional offers, launching limited-time events, or collaborating with marketing teams to drive traffic to the digital store.
  • Managing inventory: Keeping track of virtual item stocks, replenishing them as needed, and ensuring smooth delivery of purchases.
  • Working with development teams or other product teams to ensure that microtransactions are well-integrated into the game or product.
  • Analyzing trends in microtransaction behavior: Understanding player preferences and how microtransactions impact gameplay can help inform future product development and sales strategies.
  • Monitoring for fraud and abuse
  • Ensuring compliance with store regulations
