Job Description

The Youth Empowerment Program Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting The Allstate Foundation's (TAF) Youth Empowerment pillar, which aims to empower youth ages 5 - 25 to serve and improve communities. This position will report to the Head of Youth Empowerment and will support the implementation of youth empowerment programs, manage grantee applications and partner relations, and provide project management support. This is a fully remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Grantee and Partner Management Support 
  • Prepare draft materials for quarterly grant committee meetings, including completing the funding request docket, drafting funding requests, and creating updates and highlights slides. 
  • Process grant applications, including drafting application communications to partners and providing troubleshooting support to partners.   
  • Manage partner requests and approvals, including coordinating with internal Allstate colleagues to review and approve brand use and other requests. 
  • Review and analyze grant impact reports to provide high-level summary of outcomes and learnings. 
  • Identify and vet individuals and organizations that TAF should consider supporting or collaborating with. 
  • Manage and maintain effective systems for managing overall pillar-related budget, including grants and program expenses.

Project and Event Support 
  • Support the planning and execution of TAF and/or partner events, including on-site support. 
  • Support the development and execution of Youth Empowerment projects, programs, and initiatives. 
  • Attend events, conferences, and other engagements to represent TAF and the Youth Empowerment pillar. 
  • Host introductory and exploratory meetings with potential partners.
  • In coordination with the Communications lead, draft internal and external documents and communications including emails, newsletters, memos, reports, and presentations.

Functional Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience working within the nonprofit, corporate philanthropy, or youth development sectors (specifically youth service). 
  • Self-directed and results-oriented with a proven ability to anticipate needs, develop efficient processes, and design effective strategies to achieve goals. 
  • Skilled at navigating diverse contexts and identifying or creating optimal solutions aligned with strategic objectives. 
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a part of teams while managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution within deadlines. 
  • Deep commitment to service and a collaborative approach to deliver support across various projects. 
  • Proven experience building and managing strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at representing organizations effectively to key stakeholders. 
  • Highly adaptable and thrives in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities, partner requests, and new challenges. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel for program participation, events, and other activities (if travel is a requirement). 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) for efficient data management, communication, and presentations. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This job does not have supervisory duties 

Education and experience:
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience with a preference for the areas of nonprofit, corporate philanthropy, education or youth development sectors (specifically youth service).

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $70,500.00 - 124,125.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
