Role: Grant and Proposal Writer (Day Shift)
Compensation: Competitive Basic Salary
Benefits: HMO plus 2 Free Dependents, P1,500 Rice Allowance, Night Differential (If applicable).
Work Schedule: 5-day work week, 6:00am - 3pm Philippine time
Work Setup: WFH



The Grant and Proposal Writer is responsible for researching, developing, and writing compelling grant proposals and related materials to secure funding from various sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporations. This role requires strong writing, research, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to understand and translate complex information into persuasive narratives. The Grant and Proposal Writer will work closely with program staff, finance, and leadership to ensure proposals align with organizational goals and funder requirements.



Responsibilities:


Research and Identify Funding Opportunities:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and programs.
  • Monitor grant databases, websites, and other resources to stay informed about upcoming funding opportunities.
  • Analyze grant guidelines and requirements to determine eligibility and fit.


Develop and Write Grant Proposals:

  • Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
  • Tailor proposals to meet the specific requirements of each funder.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather information and develop program descriptions, goals, and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a library of standard proposal components, such as organizational background, program descriptions, and evaluation plans.


Manage Grant Application Process:

  • Ensure timely submission of grant applications and all required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant applications, awards, and reporting requirements.
  • Track grant deadlines and manage the submission process to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary information and approvals.


Develop and Maintain Relationships with Funders:

  • Communicate with funders to clarify grant guidelines and requirements.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and other required documentation to funders.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funders to enhance future funding opportunities.
  • Participate in funder meetings as needed.


Develop and Maintain Supporting Documentation:

  • Create and maintain templates for letters of inquiry, grant proposals, budgets, and reports.
  • Gather and organize supporting documents, such as financial statements, program evaluations, and letters of support.
  • Maintain a database of grant-related information, including funder profiles, application deadlines, and award histories.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, or fundraising.
  • Demonstrated success in securing grant funding from various sources.
  • Experience working with government agencies, private foundations, and/or corporations.
  • Experience with budget creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of grant writing best practices and funding trends.
  • Ability to learn and utilize grant management software.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and/or the specific field of the organization (e.g., education, healthcare, arts).
