Job Description
We are seeking an articulate, detail-oriented and passionate Legal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant at WLF, you'll have an excellent opportunity to learn the Mass Tort process and grow with us. Success in this position requires a strong work ethic, excellent writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and effective time management. WLF provides a professional yet casual work environment and a hybrid schedule with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401k plan.
Essential Job Functions
Extensive interaction with clients over the telephone and client intake phone calls
Prepare correspondence and legal documents
Organize case files and address any issues that may arise with particular cases
Answer clients’ questions and concerns
Work with attorneys on case status updates
Collect case evidence and documentation
Communicate with third party vendors
Keep clients informed by relaying case developments
Maintain case management information in law database
Move cases forward by maintaining client files, ordering and reviewing medical records and bills
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
2+ years of experience working in an office setting
Legal or medical industry experience preferred
High school diploma required and Associate’s degree preferred.
Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
Scheduled work hours are 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm. Monday through Friday
Must be able to work overtime if needed
