Position Description:

We are seeking to hire a motivated and an experienced Technical Analyst with knowledge of SQL and data management to support client's payroll system. MUST be able to write SQL and shell and understand ETL.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Business/Technical Analyst.
College degree in engineering, computer technology, or work experience in a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in software/application development or support lifecycle.
Good working knowledge of ANSI SQL
Good working knowledge of scripting: Bash shell or Python or PowerShell
Understanding of data management and some knowledge of ETL tools

Responsibilities/ Deliverables:

Successful candidate shall ensure the ongoing maintenance of the HCM (HUMAN CAPITAL MANGEMENT) system, including:

managing nightly batch payroll cycles (ON-CALL DUTIES between 7:30 pm and 2 am PST)
overseeing interfaces
resolving ETL issues
assisting client in testing of applications
assisting client in identifying and addressing system performance issues

Work with all stakeholders including business customers, vendors, and internal resources to facilitate team communication and achieve the mission.
Gather, analyze, define, and document requirements and communicate them to the technical & non-technical audience.
Transform information from elicitation sessions into business requirements and functional requirements, use cases, user stories, and software requirements specifications documents.
Validate data and test applications for business requirements, functionality, and usability.
Responsible for carrying out complex analysis of datasets and conducting appropriate data validation
Responsible for gathering and validating datasets across multiple data sources.
Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and work constructively as part of a team or teams to coordinate with developers and business users to analyze system characteristics.
Project coordination: Assist in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities.
Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure timely completion and adherence to project scope.
