The Manager of Software Engineering for Integrations at Purple will be responsible for overseeing the integration of various systems and processes across the organization. Responsible for the strategic design and implementation that meet the most demanding enterprise infrastructure needs. Strategically analyses and ensures the highest level of security and seamless integration with current applications. Provides expert guidance to the integrations team on emerging technologies and complex system requirements. Possesses an expert-level understanding of infrastructure, application programming, and web and software applications.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Management and oversight of the integrations team. Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.
Has overall responsibility for developing and administering performance standards for the integrations team.
Integration Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive integration strategy to connect various software systems, platforms, and data sources within Purple.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of integration specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure the successful execution of integration projects.
System Assessment: Evaluate existing systems, applications, and databases to identify opportunities for integration, automation, and process improvement.
Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to implement and maintain integrations, ensuring they meet Purple’s requirements and standards.
Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee integration projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and budgets. Ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget.
Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain best practices for quality assurance in integration processes, data validation, and error handling.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of integration processes, system configurations, and data mappings for future reference and audit purposes.
Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve integration-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to minimize disruptions to business operations.
Security and Compliance: Ensure that data security and compliance standards are met during integration processes, implementing necessary measures to protect sensitive information.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of integrated systems and proactively optimize them for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
Required Skills, Education, Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
5+ years of leadership experience in related field
Proven experience (10+ years) in systems integration, with a track record of successful project management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in integration technologies, API management, and ETL tools.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Knowledge of data security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
