Job description

A quick look at the role

Biffa’s Construction division has grown significantly over the past few years and is key growth area in the business’ 5 year plans. Biffa operates C&D processing facilities in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cardiff and Hampshire, and is the UK’s leading supplier of waste skips. The portfolio includes a number of strong regional brands and this role will work across these within the framework of the Biffa group.

 

This new role will work with the Head of Divisional Marketing as well as key stakeholders from the Construction division, operations and sales, plus the marketing team to develop the marketing strategy for the division. The role will also be accountable for working with key channel owners in executing the agreed strategy via multi-channel activity as well as managing the relevant asset development and creation. At all times, defining what great looks against our KPIs (awareness, engagement and commercial) with acute focus on measurability and adopting a continuous improvement mindset.

Your core responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting the marketing strategy for Biffa’s Construction division, aligning it with business goals to drive incremental value. Lead the execution of specific workstreams.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Biffa’s Construction division; sector needs and propositions framework, USPs and KSPs
  • Ensure all activity has a clear purpose, is measurable and aligns with the agreed strategy and budget. Making sure we maximise each asset across all digital and non-digital channels.      
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and other key stakeholders to create and execute marketing plans on agreed Construction division focus areas.
  • Produce high quality campaigns and materials  which work across the sales funnel - awareness, lead generating and conversion - and across channels.                      
  • Responsible for the content and search performance of websites within the portfolio; as well as social and paid search campaigns.
  • Work with in-house digital team and agencies on customer acquisition campaign performance analysis and insight to ensure our data-driven strategy is continually improved and optimised.
  • Work with sales teams to identify key account(s) and / or regional customer segments to target with tailored programmes of activity.
  • Report on digital marketing results; setting and tracking key performance metrics.
  • Make recommendations based on insight to ensure strategic goals and marketing objectives are achieved. Recognising and acting where corrective action is needed.
