E Source is seeking a seasoned partner to be accountable for net new sales in the utility industry (electric, gas, water). This sales executive should have established relationships or be able to develop new relationships with clients (C-suite preferred) using their industry experience and network and provide new opportunities in the marketplace.

E Source provides predictive data science, research and advisory, and solution services to help utilities make decisions that benefit their customers, their bottom line, and our planet.

What you’ll do

  • Drive growth by cultivating and expanding large-scale relationships with electric, gas, and water utilities across the US and Canada.
  • Identify high-potential prospects and craft strategic go-to-market plans tailored to targeted utilities.
  • Build deep relationships with key decision-makers, positioning yourself as a trusted adviser within client organizations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of account executives, providing coaching, guidance, and support to help them effectively manage and grow client accounts.
  • Understand each utility's business goals and challenges, delivering impactful, customized solutions by leveraging the full breadth of E Source’s offerings.
  • Consistently generate multimillion-dollar engagements and drive long-term client value.
  • Establish credibility in the market while expanding E Source’s footprint across the utility sector.

  • Work from a defined prospect list, identifying and capitalizing on strategic opportunities.

What will make you a good fit

  • 15+ years of experience in utility industry sales, ideally from a leading consulting or software firm, with a strong network across major utility functions.
  • Proven ability to engage and sell at the executive level—particularly in large investor-owned and municipal utilities (serving 1M+ customers).
  • A strategic thinker and persuasive communicator with a track record of originating and closing large, complex deals.
  • Strong leadership experience overseeing tiered client models, including high-touch  “diamond account” relationships.
  • Expert at navigating complex organizational structures and influencing senior stakeholders.

A little about E Source

Utilities across the US and Canada face the same fundamental, day-to-day challenges: to ensure reliable service for every customer while maintaining and modernizing aging distribution networks and meeting regulatory requirements—all while keeping rates affordable. At the same time, climate change has created a common, universal call to action: to reduce our carbon impact, improve our environment, and ensure the prosperity of future generations.

At E Source, we’re dedicated to helping every utility become a Sustainable Utility. That means doing the hard work it takes to achieve goals that often seem at odds with one another:

  • Environmental responsibility: Decarbonizing operations, reducing emissions, eliminating water leaks, and finding efficiencies
  • Reliability: Providing safe, continuous, and consistent service in the face of increasing volatility caused by climate change, including extreme weather, drought, and fire
  • Equity: Making services and programs truly available to all, especially low- and moderate-income residential customers and small and midsize businesses who are often disproportionately impacted by societal events
  • Financial stability: Ensuring a bottom line that affords capital and operational expenditures while enabling innovation and giving back to our communities

E Source blends industry-leading research, predictive data science, and solution services to help utilities make better decisions to serve their customers, their bottom line, and our planet. With a commitment to practical innovation, we use more than three decades of utility-focused experience and our unique solution set to help our clients become a Sustainable Utility.
