Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent Development, the Credential Summer Associate will work alongside the Talent Partner, Credentialing & Compliance and Manager, Talent Compliance supporting with generating and submitting credential applications over the summer period. The associate will play a key role in ensuring that credentialing applications for over 200 staff members are submitted accurately and on time.
Essential Functions
Navigate the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) online system to submit and monitor the status of credential applications.
Process CTC emergency permit applications, managing the paperwork and procedures involved in applying for and obtaining teaching licenses for upwards of 200+ staff members:
Review employee transcripts and other documents to determine eligibility for various teaching credentials.
Complete credential applications accurately with precise employee information.
Utilize DocuSign to send and collect signed documents; follow up with employees as needed to ensure each action is completed.
Track document completion using spreadsheets and update the Talent Partner, Credentialing & Compliance and Manager, Talent Compliance on employee statuses accordingly.
Maintain accurate internal records of application submissions, CTC payment tracking, and credential posting.
Provide excellent customer service and timely, professional communication to Rocketship employees and external partners, reflecting Rocketship’s core values.
Support special projects and credentialing priorities, including other regional credentialing tasks, as assigned.
Be familiar with teacher certification regulations and ensure accurate completion and submission of all required documentation in accordance with policies.
Manage ongoing stakeholder communications related to credentialing status and updates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
This role will be primarily based out of the Bay Area (i.e., Walnut Creek, San Jose, Redwood City, Antioch, Concord, CA ).
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and consistently meet deadlines.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and compliance-driven.
Ability to quickly learn and internalize new systems and procedures.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, including proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets and Google Docs.
Irreproachable personal integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with credentialing or compliance processes
Familiarity with the CTC platform and credentialing requirements
Previous experience in a school or education-related setting
