CAD Designer

Job Summary:

The CAD Designer is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for architectural projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop high-quality designs that align with client specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop precise architectural drawings, plans, and layouts using CAD software.
• Interpret and translate design concepts, sketches, and specifications into detailed technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to refine designs and resolve design-related issues.
• Prepare documentation, including blueprints, construction details, and as-built drawings.
• Revise and update existing drawings based on project modifications or client feedback.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to collect data and verify dimensions when required.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation to support project development.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum of at least 3 years of experience in architectural drafting or design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other industry-standard CAD software.
• Strong understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, and materials.
• Knowledge of US building codes and regulations is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience working on residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with sustainable design principles and energy-efficient building practices is preferred but not required.
