Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Shopify's platform, extensive experience in e-commerce development, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions. As a Shopify Developer, you will play a key role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce websites for Sterra.

Software Development:
Engage in web development using programming languages and technologies such as Shopify, Liquid, HTML, CSS, Javascript.
Strong understanding of Shopify Theme 2.0 architecture including JSON, Customizer, and use of metaobjects.
Develop new functionality, experiences, and pages on Shopify sites.
Collaborate with team members to design and implement software features.
Fix bugs and breakages.
Define and develop project scope, objectives, and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
Monitor and manage project risks and issues, taking proactive steps to mitigate them.
Monitor project progress, track milestones, and address issues and risks promptly.
Act as the primary point of contact between project teams and stakeholders.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including project status, risks, and issues.
Manage expectations and ensure alignment between project outcomes and business goals.
Ensure that IT projects meet quality standards and fulfill business requirements.
Conduct UAT on projects and ensure all requirements are met.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation
Generate regular project status reports for stakeholders and management.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience developing Shopify-based e-commerce websites.
Fluency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Liquid.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Understanding of SEO and ADA best practices.
Experience with Shopify's CLI is a big plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
