Job Title: Head of Broker Portfolio and Retention Optimisation

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available

Salary Range: c. £80,000 depending on experience

Location: England, UK

Travel: Expected travel to offsite locations and Ageas UK offices

We are excited to introduce a new role designed to provide enhanced insights and recommendations to support our intermediated channel portfolio optimisation and retention performance. This role will collaborate closely with, Broker account management teams, Finance business partners and Pricing & Underwriting stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations, optimising the performance of our Broker portfolio.

As a key player in defining & delivering our current and future broker retention strategy, you will work alongside the Head of Insight & Propositions, Distribution Directors and senior account teams. Your efforts will deepen our understanding of the holistic Broker channel and Ageas' panel performance, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the UK Broker channel dynamics.

Main Responsibilities as Head of Broker Portfolio and Retention Optimisation:

  • Develop Frameworks: Create processes for regular Broker performance reviews, with a particular focus on retention.
  • Holistic Insight: Drive insights into the overall UK Broker channel and Ageas' performance within the market.
  • Collaborative Reporting: Work with underwriting, finance, claims, and broker account management teams to develop performance reporting and insights.
  • Portfolio Optimisation: Provide actionable insights for policy and customer retention and acquisition opportunities.
  • Strategic Support: Contribute to the Ageas ‘Elevate UK’ strategy by using insights to support customer acquisition and relationship deepening.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory and risk dimensions are integrated into the Broker portfolio optimisation framework.
  • Commercial Delivery: Demonstrate commercial improvements through insights and recommendations.
  • Broker Engagement: Collaborate where relevant with Brokers on data and insight sharing for mutual benefit.
  • Strategic Plans: Support Broker account managers with strategic account plans using portfolio insights.


Skills and experience you need as Head of Broker Portfolio and Retention Optimisation:

  • A thorough understanding of insurance products and intermediated distribution channels with experience in a regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen with the ability to produce recommendations based on insights and analytics and effectively communicate these to our internal stakeholders
  • Excellent numerary and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation & influencing skills partnered with excellent relationship management skills, able to sustain relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Working knowledge of analytics tools including excel, PowerBI and Anaplan (would be advantageous)
