Job description

Growth Marketer

At Shortcut, we’re on a mission to help modern product and engineering teams focus on building great software, not managing the work around it. Our fast, collaborative platform supports the product development cycle, making it easy to plan, build, and ship together. Tens of thousands of fast-moving software teams trust Shortcut to help them work faster together and make real progress.

We’re looking for a creative, data-driven Growth Marketer with 3+ years of experience to lead top-of-funnel efforts and help more teams discover the value of Shortcut. This is a high-impact role on a small but mighty team, reporting to the Head of Marketing.

About the role

We’re building on strong momentum—we have a product team's love and our organic traffic is growing. Now we’re opening a new chapter, and looking to expand our reach through smarter campaigns, sharper messaging, and personalized, signal-based outreach. There’s plenty of room to experiment, move fast, and try bold ideas.

What you’ll do

This role blends paid growth, campaign execution, and ongoing experimentation. We expect your time will be spread fairly evenly across these three areas, with flexibility to shift based on what’s driving the most impact.

Campaigns & Paid Growth

  • Campaigns: Own and optimize paid campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, Reddit, and other platforms, owning budgets, targeting, and performance.
  • Ad Creation: Write ads people want to click and work with our Designers to test new formats, visuals, and ideas.
  • Demand Gen: Turn content into demand by spotting smart ways to plug our content into paid and outbound plays.

Activation & Experimentation

  • Email campaigns: Build lifecycle campaigns that use in-app signals to trigger targeted, personalized outreach.
  • Experimentation: Create and prioritize a backlog of growth experiments aimed at improving ROI and driving revenue.
  • Testing: Explore where AI and automation can boost targeting and engagement, whether that’s a new ad platform, newsletter sponsorship, event, or something we haven’t tried yet.

General Marketing

We’re a small, but mighty team where everyone rolls up their sleeves and contributes across the board. You’ll support ongoing SEO initiatives, help distribute content in high-impact ways, and collaborate on integrated campaigns. You’ll also take part in team planning and help shape and evolve our growth strategy.

What you bring

  • 3-5 years of growth marketing or demand generation experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or PLG environments
  • 2+ years managing paid campaigns across channels like Google, LinkedIn, or Reddit
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences, from CTOs to developers
  • Analytical mindset with a passion for testing, iterating, and using data to drive decisions
  • Interest in emerging tools (especially AI) and a willingness to experiment with new approaches
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Solid understanding of CRM systems, customer segmentation, and lifecycle marketing campaigns.

What you’ll get

  • Salary: $75k–$100k + meaningful equity.

  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, FSA, OneMedical, Teladoc, Health Advocate, 401(k), commuter benefits.

  • Time off: Flexible open vacation, 10 company holidays, 10 safe & sick days, 5 volunteer PTO days, generous parental leave, and a true 40-hour week culture.

  • Learning & Development: $2,000 annual learning stipend.

  • WFH: Fully remote. We’ll ship your gear, plus a $750 initial home-office stipend.

(Salary range applies to US hires. If applicable, adjusted per our comp guidelines for other regions.)

Shortcut is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value diverse backgrounds and perspectives and provide accommodations upon request.
