LEGENDS & AUDI F1

Legends and Audi F1 have entered into a 5-year partnership. Legends will lead partnership acquisition, securing multi-million-dollar, multi-year global sponsorships that will define the future of Audi F1.

As one of the most anticipated new teams on the Formula 1 grid, backed by a massive investment and a powerhouse global brand, Audi F1 represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build an elite racing organization from the ground up.

THE ROLE   

The Director, Partnership Sales will serve as a critical part of the Audi partnerships team based in Europe. This individual will spearhead the development and execution of substantial, high-impact sponsorships for Audi working to drive their business objectives and brand presence. The incumbent will lead complex negotiations with senior decision-makers, fostering meaningful partnerships that contribute long-term value to Audi’s assets. Reporting to the Vice President, the Director will also be responsible for mentoring junior partnership managers and other sales professionals, helping build a high-performing, collaborative team focused on revenue growth and market expansion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Represent Audi F1 at key global events, including Formula 1 races, strategic meetings at Audi’s HQ in Germany, and international partner engagements.
  • Function as both a strategic visionary and an individual contributor, crafting and implementing comprehensive go-to-market strategies that capitalize on both immediate opportunities and long-term brand alignment.
  • Develop and oversee a sophisticated prospecting and outreach plan, targeting potential partners at regional, national, and global levels to drive interest and secure impactful partnerships.
  • Leverage a robust network and maintain high-level relationships with C-suite executives across industries, proactively identifying and cultivating new partnership opportunities to enhance Audi’s market position.
  • Collaborate closely with Audi and Legends executive leadership to align partnership strategies with broader organizational goals, ensuring consistent messaging and integrated marketing efforts.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to design, plan, and execute strategic partnership activations, delivering measurable value and brand impact.
  • Optimize sales processes and tools in collaboration with the Legends Global Partnerships Team, enhancing CRM utilization and internal communication to drive efficiency in the partnership cycle. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate partnerships and or sponsorship sales, with a proven history of negotiating and closing substantial, multi-year partnerships.
  • Experience in high-value sponsorship projects, ideally in motorsport, global sports, or premium brand partnerships.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven ability to navigate long and complex sales cycles, as F1 deals require patience and a long-term strategy.
  • Strong, established relationships with senior executives at major corporations, particularly those managing national or global sponsorship portfolios.
  • Ability to inspire and guide a team to consistently achieve revenue and partnership goals, fostering a high-performance, team-oriented culture.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with an ability to craft compelling narratives that showcase partnership value and align with client objectives.
  • Proven track record in designing and executing strategic marketing platforms that create brand synergy and long-term value.
  • High emotional intelligence and adaptability, thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments with changing priorities.

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary range plus bonus potential commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan. 

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.
