Job description

C.A.G.E. Design Build is looking for a Technical Designer to join our firm. C.A.G.E. is an established design build company serving the South Bay for 15 years.

Technical Designer must have kitchen, bath and residential remodeling/addition experience. The Technical Designer will be responsible for all technical aspects of multiple projects at a time. This position requires someone who can work closely with both the design team and construction team in a collaborative manner.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all residential computer aided design and rendering utilizing Auto Cad or similar program.
Must be able to create as built to complete set of permitted plans for build utilizing a clear-cut system already in process.
Must be able to understand building codes and seek out assistance in a professional manner with many city officials.
Individual must be organized and proficient in measuring of whole homes in detail.
Must be able to understand complex products for residential remodeling such as cabinetry, tile, windows, doors, etc.
Ability to learn our cabinetry lines and produce cabinetry orders.
Collaborate with sales and design team in all aspects of the design and construction process.
Must be able to work independently and efficiently from home. Local to San Jose, CA area a must.
Understanding of construction estimating and proficient in attaining estimates for residential construction projects.
Attention to detail is a must.

Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
Proficient in Auto Cad or Softplan.
Proficient in Sketch up and/or Revit for 3 D rendering and presentation purposes.
Ability to work on Multiple projects at one time in a systematic manner.
Knowledge of Kitchen and bathroom standards and details.
Team player with positive attitude and ability to follow direction.
Construction estimating experience required.
