  • Document all repair activities and collaborate with client relations to resolve customer issues.

Field Service Technician II – West Coast US

Hourly Rate: $39-$43/hour, depending on experience

Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal guidelines

Remote PositionWest Coast US

 

Summary

 

The primary responsibility of the Field Service Technician is to travel to customer sites throughout the continental United States with West Coast focus and provide repairs to Alma Lasers equipment and complete Preventative Maintenance as scheduled. This position will sometimes provide level two technical trouble shooting with customers via phone.


This position will be primarily focused on servicing our West Coast customers. We are looking for candidates living in or near the following locations:

·      California

·      Arizona

·      Utah

 This position is remote, and we are looking for qualified candidates who reside near the West Coast -US

Essential Functions

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment
  • Repair equipment after diagnosis
  • Read diagrams and schematics to perform full board swaps as needed
  • Test machines after repair to ensure proper functionality
  • Maintain and complete all repair documentation paperwork
  • Provide Level 2 support via phone to customers and internal employees
  • Abide by company safety and health policies
  • Low voltage electrical repair, using Multimeter, Oscilloscope, and other hand tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Set appointments to perform preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations
  • Work closely with the Client Relations team to resolve customer issues
  • Perform device calibration using specified test equipment such as power meters
  • Mentor and aid other field service personnel
  • Develop troubleshooting documents for our Client Relations team

Education and Experience Required

  • Associates degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of Field Service experience
  • Experience with component level repair, preferred
  • Knowledgeable of ISO 13485 certification, preferred

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports but assists in mentoring peers and other departments as needed.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as medical offices in the field. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position also utilizes hand tools and electrical meters.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Travel

This position requires 75-90% travel as needed.

 

Work Authorization
