ASC Engineered Solutions is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to cover the sales responsibility for the province of British Columbia. Primary sales are directed toward established PVF (Pipe, Valve and Fitting) distributors and contractors within the territory. Working under the direction of the National Sales Manager, the Sales Representative is expected to learn and expand upon his/her knowledge of the Mechanical, PVF and Fire Protection industries. ASC Engineered Solutions sells through distribution channels but ongoing contact with end users is a priority.
How You Will Help
Administer and develop sales in the assigned territory
Call product end users including wholesale distributors, promote new and existing product lines and develop a favorable specification position
Engage consulting engineers to specify product and demonstrate features and benefits through product presentations
50% of the time will be working with mechanical and fire protection contractors to push the ASC product through distribution channels
Provide full service to established distributor network including: quotes, product training, technical and literature support, product complaints, inventory maintenance and delivery issues
Perform product training for end users and distributors to promote product benefits and improve specification position
Develop cooperative relationships with key distributors and end-user personnel to enhance product demand
Establish sales targets and specification targets to meet the company's sales budget.
Identify significant bidding opportunities and provide comprehensive project information including pricing strategy
Provide after-sales service, including warranty and claims management.
Participate effectively in professional activities to promote ASC products.
Continuously update the end user database for the territory
Provide monthly report, sales forecast and market overview to NSM
What You Will Bring
A minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience in the PVF industry or related field (construction, piping, etc.).
PVF experience appealing to wholesale level as well as head office
Experience with mechanical and fire protection contractors will be an asset
Requires strong analytical and cross-sector multi-tasking skills
Must demonstrate good judgment, decision making and ability to plan and achieve required objectives
Valid driver's license with no major violations.
Intermediate computer experience with particular proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint programs as well as CRM platforms
High level of interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Comfortable with public speaking engagements and the ability to present to large groups
Desired Degrees
A bachelor's degree, preferably in a business, engineering or communications related field, or a 3-year college degree is preferred.
Mechanical aptitude is an added advantage.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 CAD annually*.
The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this role. ASC Engineered Solutions' philosophy on compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.
